The True Squat app from BFS enhances the effectiveness of squat training by providing precise measurement of squat depth, ensuring optimal results for leg and core strengthening.

By securing the device to the thigh, users can utilize their smartphone's accelerometers to receive auditory and vibrational feedback when reaching TRUE parallel during each repetition. This feature is crucial, as depth is a critical factor for maximizing the benefits of a squat routine.

In addition to monitoring depth, the app also counts and displays repetitions, alerting users with a clear sound when they have completed their set. The customizable settings allow users to receive feedback not only at true parallel (0º) but also at 15 and 20 degrees above parallel, which can be beneficial for variations such as box squats or lighter training sessions. The options extend to selecting the number of reps in each set, adding versatility to workouts.

The True Squat app also offers teaching aids accessible through the home screen menu. These resources include a detailed instructional video on achieving parallel squats and guidelines on proper spotting techniques, which collectively enhance performance and safety. This functionality allows spotters to concentrate on their role in providing support and encouragement rather than evaluating squat depth.
